Teneale Hatton Surfski Clinic

The Pickering Rouge Canoe Club is pleased to announce that five time world champion Teneale Hatton will be holding a Surfski Clinic for all interested paddlers on Wednesday, July 8 from 7:00 to 8:15 p.m. at the Pickering Rouge Canoe Club, Frenchman’s Bay site.

Brief Bio of Teneale Hatton: A native New Zealander, Teneale Hatton is one of the fastest and most accomplished female kayakers paddling today. She is a five time world champion in several different kayak disciplines, and she is stoked to share her paddling expertise and love of open water kayaking!

5x World Champion: K1 1000m, K1 5000m, U23 Marathon, U23 Ocean SurfSki, Open Double Ski; 2012 Olympian
Details of the Clinic:

Who can attend the clinic?  The clinic is designed to help out surfskiers of all abilities. Teneale will lead a brief dryland session followed by an hour-long on-water portion that will cover stroke mechanics, remounting the surfski, riding waves and more.

When is the clinic?  Wednesday, July 8 from 7:00 to 8:15 p.m.

Cost:  $25/paddler. Space is limited to 10 paddlers, so make sure to register soon.

Required Equipment:  Surfskis will not be provided. You must bring all necessary equipment (Surfski, Paddle, PFD, etc.) to take part in the clinic.
