Pickering Rouge Canoe Club - Inspiring young paddlers in our communities since 1958

Pickering Rouge Canoe and Kayak Camp is a fun, active day camp full of games, crafts and on-water activities. Children paddle different types of canoes and kayaks that are appropriate for all ages and skill levels. No previous experience is necessary. The Camp is located at Rouge Beach in Scarborough on the shores of the Rouge River and Lake Ontario in Canada’s largest urban park, Rouge National Urban Park. Campers enjoy a BBQ lunch on Fridays.

One-week sessions from 9-4 are available during July and August for children aged 6 to 13, with extended care available both morning and afternoon if required.

A 2-week Counsellor-in-training (CIT) program is available for teens aged 14-16. This program is excellent preparation for teens hoping to work as camp counsellors in the future.

New in 2019 – “Intro to Sprint” for ages 9-15, a 2-week program that introduces children and youth to the sport of sprint canoe and kayak.
