Pickering Rouge Canoe Club - Inspiring young paddlers in our communities since 1958

Pickering Rouge Canoe and Kayak Camp is a fun, active day camp full of games, crafts and on-water activities. Children paddle different types of canoes and kayaks that are appropriate for all ages and skill levels. No previous experience is necessary. The Camp is located at Rouge Beach in Scarborough on the shores of the Rouge River and Lake Ontario in Canada’s largest urban park, Rouge National Urban Park. Lunch is provided one day per week.

Ten one-week sessions from 9:00-4:00 are available during July and August for children aged 6 to 13, with extended care available both morning and afternoon if required.

PRCC also runs a Leaders-in-Training (LIT) program for teens aged 14-16. See registration link below.

CAMP SESSIONS AND COST

Camp runs from June 29 to September 4, 2020 with ten one-week sessions available.

The cost is $225 per 5-day week (Mon to Fri) and $180 per 4-day week, including all fees and taxes.

Week 1: June 29 – July 3 ($180),  Theme (Adventure Week)
Week 2: July 6 – July 10 ($225),  Theme (Camp’s Got Talent)
Week 3: July 13 – July 17 ($225),  Theme (Water Week)
Week 4: July 20 – July 24 ($225),  Theme (Animal Week)
Week 5: July 27 – July 31 ($225), Theme (Olympic Week)
Week 6: August 4 – August 7 ($180),  Theme (Super Hero Week)
Week 7: August 10 – August 14 ($225),  Theme (Nature Week)
Week 8: August 17 – August 21 ($225),  Theme (A Year in a Week)
Week 9: August 24 – August 28 ($225),  Theme (Space Week)
Week 10: August 31 – September 4 ($225),  Theme (Farewell Week)

Extended care (8:00-9:00 and 4:00-5:00) – $40 per week

LEADERS-IN-TRAINING (LIT) SESSIONS AND COST

A Leaders-in-training (LIT) program is available for teens aged 14-16 at our Canoe and Kayak Camp. This program is excellent preparation for teens hoping to work as camp counsellors or with children in the future. LITs must possess a positive attitude and genuine interest in working with campers ages 6-13.

LIT session run in July and August, 2019 with five two-week sessions available for LITs.
The cost is $345 per session including all fees and taxes.
