The Pickering Rouge Canoe Club is pleased to offer a safe, physically-distant paddling program for adults who would like to navigate various self-propelled watercraft with other individuals (who will always remain six feet away). If you spent the last few years in a dragon boat, this is the perfect time to learn how to paddle under your own power!
The program will introduce participants to three different solo paddling experiences:
1) SUP (Stand Up Paddleboarding)
2) Pleasure Canoeing
3) Beginner level kayaks
Participants will be introduced to the fundamentals of each watercraft. Once a level of proficiency has been established, individuals will be allowed to traverse up river to get a unique perspective of the Rouge National Urban Park.
